Job Description:
  • The role of the Business Support Specialist is to provide basic level support within Workplace Solutions related to direct bill customer accounts and loan accounts by partnering with value stream partners to provide business, product and process knowledge to process simple client changes and/or money movement requests in order to provide our customers with an excellent experience.
The Contributions You’ll Make:
  • Business requirements identification, definition, and documentation
  • Communicating business requirements to other organizational units within the BU; to other BU’s or enterprise entities in support of product design, development, and roll-out activities
  • Coordination of project, support, and as required operational/business/financial audit activity.
  • Providing oversight of Service Provider’s activities relating to Service Provider’s attainment and maintenance of required licensing and/or certification requirements over time
  • Provide oversight of Service Provider’s informal workflows and manual processes to ensure achievement of desired results and successful outcomes.
  • Handle original paperwork, documents, and other workflow related activities that remain onshore in support of BU operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with Service Provider in the performance of operational activities to ensure results and successful outcomes.
  • Participate in the development of business and/or technical specifications for changes to the BU’s product/service offerings; business support systems; and process and workflow practices in support of evolving business requirements.
  • Review and provide input on the Service Provider’s service delivery performance related to deliverables, quality, schedule attainment, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the Service Provider for issue resolution to ensure incident, problem, and change management activities are in accord with the contract and its underlying SLAs, including cross-BU integration as necessary.
  • Review requirements and coordinate adherence of Service Provider’s performance to BU specific and/or Voya’s policies, procedures, standards, and processes
  • Interface with other BUs to coordinate project/change management activities and deployment timing.
  • Coordinate the execution of continuous improvement cost reduction opportunities and tracking cost elimination within the BU, across BUs and with the Service Provider as required.
  • Active participation in business process and product rationalization projects/programs including coordination and oversight of Service Provider involvement as requested.
  • Recommend opportunities for process standardization, automation, and alternative sourcing strategies/support.
  • Manage the delivery of projects, programs or other change initiatives for respective business processes, systems or support activities in support of Business Unit objectives.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 + years prior experience in an environment that requires analytical and communication skills, preferably in commissions.
  • Previous experience in process or system improvement projects.
  • Moderate level of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, etc.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of COBRApoint, Wex, Docudex and Gemini
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
