Financial Services Representative
Pay:Â $20.33 – $30.49 Hourly
Job Location: Remote (From Home)
Grade:Â 5
The Financial Services Representative position is a full-time employment opportunity. The Financial Services Representative advises new and continuing students with the educational funding plan through their journey to graduation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Advise new and continuing students with their financial payment options to help fund their education.
- Assist students with the application process, document collection, disbursements and awards, educate on both institutional and academic policies, and guiding them until they reach graduation.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Federal, State and Institutional Policies governing Title IV student aid programs.
- Communicate with students via phone, email, etc. to answer inquiries on educational funding questions and concerns in a timely manner.
- Review and ensure student accounts are accurate, invoiced, and future payments are on schedule.
- Contact students for past due balances and monitor payment plans.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve student inquiries.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and strong mathematical skills are required
- Must possess outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- Up to 1 year of relevant work experience may be required.
- One (1) year of experience in an educational setting, finance, contact center, or other applicable customer service role required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Financial Aid experience preferred.
